My Experience Buying in Farfetch

Hello everyone! This week passed flying and it’s Friday again. Autumn started this Wednesday in this part of the world and I really hope the weather changes fast to start wearing more coats and booties. Maybe you don’t know, but I work from home and for that reason, I usually do most of my shopping online. Don’t get me wrong, I love the experience of going to the store and checking the items in person, but sometimes life is so busy that you just need to find more shopping options. In all these years I’ve been buying thing online, I’ve found a lot of websites and I’m always willing to try new places. I’ve been thinking about it and I think it would be a good idea to share with you my go-to online stores, show you how to shop and let you know my comments about each of them because it’s better to know someone else’s opinion to avoid a bad shopping experience.

Today I want to share with you my experience buying in Farfetch. This is an online store that sells luxury items from over 700 boutiques around the world (here you can find from Converse to Gucci). What I like about this store is the variety of items and the sales that the have several times a year (they even have 50% discounts or free shipping). I’ve been registered in this website for some time, but I’ve just had the time to make my first purchase. I wanted to buy just one thing to test all the process, so I looked for an item I needed in the moment, which was a sports bra. I was originally thinking on buying a Nike or Adidas one, which are the most common sports brands, but I couldn’t resist to a $52 Versace sports bra that looked elegant, yet wearable for all the workout I’m hoping to do and compared to the other brands I mentioned it had a similar price.

If you want to start buying in Farfecth, the first thing you need to do is create and account. You can either create an account with your email address or you can use your Facebook account. Then, you should fill your home address and your payment method (Farfetch accept almost all credit cards and you can even pay with Paypal). After that, you should be ready to start buying.

When you choose the item or items you want to buy, you have to take into account that the shipping cost will be $23, but sometimes it maybe more depending of the partner store (don’t forget to check that before paying!), sometimes it could charge you other $23 for another item. However, if you spend more than $250, you will only pay a fixed shipping cost of $23.

For people in Peru: Please notice that Peruvian customs will ask you to pay an import tax for items that cost $200 or more. Check that information with your customs authorities if you are in another country.

After you successfully paid your item or items, you will receive a confirmation email with your order number. You will receive your order approximately within 2-4 days for most part in Europe and USA, or 3-7 days for the rest of the world. Also, when you package has been picked up, you will receive an email, so you can track your order.

My order was delivered from the Divo boutique in Italy and I actually received it after 4 days. It was very well packaged and the item looked like advertised. I’m very pleased with the overall shopping experience because it was fast, verified and reliable, and I would definitely buy in Farfetch again.

I hope you found this post useful and I’ll try to show you more of the websites where I like to shop. One last thing I wanted to tell you is that if you use my name “MAYRA MASSON” at your Farfetch checkout, you will receive 10% off in your first order. You can also redeem the code with my personal link: https://farfetch.mention-me.com/m/ol/zh6lq-mayra-masson
